Blinkit, the quick-commerce subsidiary of Zomato, has unveiled Bistro, a new app dedicated to 10-minute food delivery. This strategic move positions Blinkit to rival Zepto Cafe, which recently announced its own standalone app for food delivery.

Blinkit, the grocery division of Zomato, entered the quick meal delivery industry with the release of the Bistro app. As of December 6, 2024, Bistro is accessible on the Google Play Store, and an iOS release is planned shortly.

Blinkit's existing network of dark stores and delivery infrastructure is expected to help achieve faster delivery times for Bistro users. This launch comes as Zomato 's second attempt at the 10-minute delivery space after shutting down Zomato Instant.
