CHICAGO (CBS) --A woman was wounded in a shooting Saturday night in the Loop outside the Macy's department store on State Street, as large crowds were packing downtown for holiday festivities.

The shooting happened around 8:55 p.m. on a sidewalk in the 0-100 block of West Washington Street, Chicago police said. Police could also be seen investigating at the Macy's store on State Street.
