A body found on Valentine's Day in the woods nearly 20 miles northeast of Globe belonged to a missing girl, deputies say.

Gila County sheriff's detectives say the girl was reported missing through Mesa Police Department and are investigatng the case as a homicide.

Gila County Sheriff's Office has identified a female whose remains were found on Feb. 14. She was identified as 14-year-old Emily Pike from the San Carlos Apache Tribe.
