A man has died after a shooting in Columbia Heights, Minnesota late Friday night. The man was brought to North Memorial Health around 11:45 p.m. for treatment for a gunshot wound. He later died at the hospital.

Preliminary information from Columbia Heights police is that the man was shot near the 4200 block of Central Avenue Northeast, the press release says. No arrests have been made yet, but the sheriff’s office says there is no known threat to the public. The incident is under investigation.

Police believe the victim and the driver had an altercation before the driver ran him over, the Seattle Police Department said in a statement.
