The Boston-based global health nonprofit JSI has laid off half of its staff due to the U.S. foreign aid freeze. This accounts for about 1,100 staffers across the U.S. and international programming.
Approximately 1,100 employees of the JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. were laid off across the company’s US and international offices, a spokesperson said in an email to the Globe.
