To secure a majority, the party made a deal with the Dawn of Nemunas, a nationalist party whose founder and leader is being investigated after making comments widely condemned as antisemitic.

The Nemunas Dawn party did, however, win at least 20 seats -- more than enough to continue its verbal dart throwing at "elites that became disconnected from the people" from within the parliament.
