As mentioned earlier, it is now larger in size than its predecessor – no doubt an attempt on Toyota’s part to keep up with the likes of the larger Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi L200 and Nissan Navara.

the Hilux is surprisingly good to drive. There’s lots of tyre squeal but the ride is comfortable, the steering is accurate and body control isn’t too bad considering the elevated stance.
