Anthony Mackie has seemingly confirmed that Sam Wilson/Captain America will have a role to play in Avengers: Doomsday. Mackie is reprising his role as Wilson in Captain America: Brave New World, which will be released in theaters this coming February.

Avengers: Doomsday will see the return of Chris Evans to the MCU, providing the chance to repeat the actor's 2024 cameo in an inherently darker way. Avengers: Doomsday's story was confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 after the restructuring of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
