Police say a man on pretrial release in a gun case shot and wounded a woman Saturday night in the lobby of a hotel and apartment complex in the 300 block of West Grand Avenue. Officers later found a 32-year-old woman fatally shot in a room on the 30th floor.

Two women were found shot, one fatally, inside a home in the River North neighborhood on Saturday night. "This is particularly true if Russia assesses that the US cannot or will not support the European NATO countries in a war with Russia."

The investigation continues after two women were shot at a River North hotel Saturday around 8:15 p.m. at Grand Avenue near North Orleans Street, leaving one dead and another injured.
