Gasoline prices are up 29 cents a gallon in Arizona since President Trump took office; prices for produce and other consumer products could spike if he enacts more tariffs on Canada and Mexico, experts say.

The Trump administration told Mexican officials that they should put their own duties on Chinese imports as part of their efforts to avoid tariffs threatened by President Donald Trump, according to people familiar with the matter.

The White House published three separate Executive Orders that imposed blanket tariffs on Canadian, Mexican and Chinese imports. The Executive Orders are all similar in scope, with each having a unique justification for imposing the associated tariffs.

Since taking office, Trump has announced 25% tariffs on all imports from Canada and Mexico. These tariffs will bring an economic burden to many consumers and could also particularly affect businesses in New Mexico.
