Oilseed pumpkins (Cucurbita pepo pepo Styriaca) have hulless seeds containing 40-50% oil. The crop can produce 0.5-1.4 tonnes/hectare of seeds, which are high in essential fatty acids and Vitamin E.
The zucchini, courgette or baby marrow (Cucurbita pepo) is a summer squash, a vining herbaceous plant whose fruit are harvested when their immature seeds and epicarp (rind) are still soft and edible.
