That meant Linda Wilkes’ $50,000 prize was instantly multiplied by 10. The Wilkes County resident ended up with $500,000 when her $3 ticket matched the numbers on four white balls and the red Powerball of the Nov. 4 drawing, according to the N.C. Education Lottery.

The winning numbers for the Dec. 2 drawing were 3, 9, 26, 61, 67 and Powerball: 13. The multiplier was a 2X. The $1 million ticket sold in Massachusetts matched the first five numbers, but did not match the Powerball number.

No tickets were sold matching all six numbers in Monday evening’s drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery, pushing the estimated jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing to $240 million. A ticket matching five numbers was sold in Massachusetts and is worth $1 million.
