Lewis Hamilton has started Formula One pre-season testing for Ferrari. The 40-year-old British driver announced last year was leaving Mercedes to join Ferrari after spending 11 years and winning six of his seven world titles with the Silver Arrows.

Lewis Hamilton was one of the first cars out on track as F1 pre-season testing kicked off in Bahrain. When the green light signalled at the end of the pit lane, Hamilton immediately got to work with his new team. As part of Ferrari’s early testing programme, Hamilton’s Ferrari was fitted with a huge aero rake.

Pre-season testing for the 2025 F1 season has now got underway in Bahrain. Half the drivers took to track for the morning sessions on Day 1, with Lewis Hamilton spearheading the Ferrari efforts.
