HMD Global, a Finnish company known for producing Nokia phones, is relocating a large portion of its manufacturing operations from China to India to establish itself as a major global manufacturing center.

Nokia phone maker HMD is shifting a significant portion of its manufacturing from China to India as part of its global expansion strategy

HMD’s CEO and VP for India and Asia Pacific, Ravi Kunwar, said the company has relocated critical operations, including its supply chain sourcing team, to India.

Currently, HMD exports phones to West Asia and Africa but plans to expand to the US and Europe due to changing global trade dynamics.
