The United States on Friday proposed a draft United Nations resolution to mark the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, a move that pits Washington against an effort by Kyiv and European allies to have their own text adopted by the General Assembly.

In an email, Elon Musk told hundreds of thousands of federal workers they have until just before Tuesday to explain what they accomplished over the last week. Some departments told employees not to respond.

Trump, meanwhile, attacked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy while speaking at his Mar-a-Lago home as U.S. officials hold talks with Russia about ending the war in Ukraine that started when Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded its neighbor. Zelenskyy was not invited to the talks with Russia.

Some federal agencies, including the State and Defense Departments, told their employees not to respond to an email asking for a list of tasks they completed.

The Trump administration sent emails on Saturday evening to U.S. federal government employees telling them to detail their work accomplishments from the previous week by Monday night or risk losing their jobs.
