A suspect wanted in connection to a shooting in Jasper County has been arrested, according to the sheriff’s office.

JASPER COUNTY, Ga. — An ‘armed and dangerous’ shooting suspect is now in custody after a weekend manhunt. Deputies say 27-year-old Sergio Ramirez Gonzalez, also known as Albino Ramirez, was involved in a shooting on Feb. 21 in Shady Dale. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office announced on Sunday, that Gonzalez was arrested at 12:30 a.m.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to track down Gonzalez. They are asking anyone with information to call 706-468-4930. No further details about the shooting have been released at this time. Authorities continue to investigate the case and urge anyone with tips to come forward.

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office has arrested two people in connection to a deadly shooting that happened earlier this month at Tailgators in Ridgeland. Deputies responded to the scene on February 2. Upon arriving, they found a male victim who was dead.
