Mycelium Structure, Reproduction, Differences with Hyphae
Mycelium (plural mycelia) develops from the fungal hyphae. While mycelia plays an important role in reproduction (vegetative parts of fungi), they are also involved in the decomposition of organic matter, which makes them very important in nature.
