The Sumatran rhino lives in dense tropical forest, both lowland and highland, mainly on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. This species is a browser and an opportunistic feeder with a very varied diet that may include more than 100 plant species.

There are ten rhinos being cared for at the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary in Way Kambas National Park. Born on May 12, 2016, Delilah was the second rhino birth at the SRS and the second offspring to Ratu and Andalas. On November 25, 2023, Delilah made history again when she gave birth to a healthy male calf.

2023年10月3日 · The unnamed rhino calf is the third born of a 23-year-old rhino named Ratu, as the result of a mating with a male Sumatran rhino, Andalas (22 years old). In 2012 Ratu gave birth to Andatu, followed by Delilah in 2016. The calf is also the fourth rhino born at the sanctuary.
