Tord returning without a doubt is a horrible thing the team has done. He clearly stated he and his character didn't want to be in the show anymore so basically Matt is disregarding his wishes. In the end it's pretty much a big middle finger to the actual Tord Larsson, or unless there's something behind the scenes we don't know about.
