Eureka, CA. Feb 26, 2015. #1. I have an older Heat-N-Glow gas fireplace insert that is having remote control issues. The insert is a Bay-Ins and the remote is the RCT-MLT. All has worked fine until trying to use the insert for the first time in a few months. The remote's display lights up and batteries are fresh but it will not control the insert.

USA. Jan 3, 2022. #1. Hi - I have a Heat and Glo gas fireplace installed about 2013. Been working fine, except with the temperature outside drops below freezing. Then, the pilot lite will go on but the fireplace doesn’t ignite. Someone came out to look at it (for $250) and said the pilot assembly should be replaced (=$1200)!

2020年9月14日 · Pull the plate off the wall switch to see if there is 120V (12/2 or 14/2 Romex) wiring or 18 gauge thermostat wiring. If the wiring is 18 ga., disconnect from the switch & touch the two ends together. If the fireplace comes on, it's the switch.
