2017年3月31日 · Just read through this entire thread, new to microskiff, I am seriously looking at either the Saltmarsh 1656 tunnel or SeaArk 1660mvt. I am primarily (90%) a skinny water flats fly fisherman, who stalks carp on a tidal river system. I am looking to buy my first boat so have a little apprehension about pulling the trigger.

2016年7月4日 · I have the 1656 currently and owned a native 17 before this. the native had a tiller 40hp Tohatsu tldi/ 1656 has side console 40hp evinrude. Tohatsu is a bulletproof motor, cons are finding a certified mechanic and resale. The tiller handle got in the way when fishing off the back deck and when opening back hatch,so chose side console this time.

2020年3月23日 · The 1656 has a couple inches more freeboard and because of that it’s got slightly more storage. I had a Heron built cause I cross a lot of open water and in this area it is MUCH better. Eats chop very well. It would be pretty decent without, but trim tabs are a must to get the most out of the hull. Definitely drier than the 1656.
