To verify a mobile number: click Send code.Google Voice sends the code in a text message. To verify a landline: click Verify by phone Call. Google Voice calls the phone number and gives the code. Enter the code click Verify. Tips: You can link up to 6 numbers. You can't link a number that's already linked to a Google Voice number.

Port your Google Voice number
Your Google Voice account comes with an initial phone number. Within 90 days after you port your personal phone number, you can: Opt to keep your original Google Voice number as a secondary number to the phone number you ported in. Otherwise, the original Google Voice number is removed. Get calls and text messages on either number.
Get verification codes with Google Authenticator
You can save your codes safely in your Google Account with Google Authenticator. This helps protect you from being locked out of your account when you change devices. Next to "Usage," look for "Across Google." Stop using your number across Google. Go to the Phone section of your Google Account. Next to your number, select Delete Remove number. Go to the Recovery phone section of your Google Account and re-add your number. To keep using your number in other Google services, go to those services and re-add it.
