Therefore, a good HSK score is 60%, which is the minimum to pass for each HSK level. A passing grade on HSK 1 and 2 is 120 points out of 200. A passing grade on HSK levels 3, 4, 5, or 6 is 180 points out of 300.

2015年6月30日 · Unless you really need the HSK because you want to study in China or it's required for whatever reason, I would recommend giving it a pass. I've met people that crushed HSK 6 and could barely communicate, and I've met people that did poorly on HSK 5 and had quite impressive Chinese.

Their example answers are extremely similar to the texts I would encounter during HSK5, so maybe they're still pretty lenient with the writing's content like they are with the current HSK (like HSK5 which requires you to write a whopping 80 characters "essay"!).
