Lomerizine (also known as KB-2796) is a diphenylpiperazine class L-type and T-type calcium channel blocker. [1] This drug is currently used clinically for the treatment of migraines , while also being used experimentally for the treatment of glaucoma and optic nerve injury.

Lomerizine is a CCB that has little effect on blood pressure. It was primarily developed for the treatment of migraines (Hara et al., 1995). Lomerizine increased cerebral blood flow in cats and rats and increased vertebral blood flow in dogs without affecting systemic blood pressure or heart rate (Hara et al., 1999).
