I have a basic understanding of what it is (a commonly checked area to put and get messages), but what I want to know what exactly is it good at?

Jul 14, 2014 · After some months fighting with this issue and IBM support, the best solution I found is to change the connect/disconnect code in IBM MQ Driver. Instead of calling manager.Disconnect() and manager.Close() for each GET/PUT, connect once and then reconnect only if you have some exception (like loosing connection).

For versions of MQ prior to v8 you can still download the MQ03 SupportPac at the above link. The original author of the SupportPac also now maintains a version of the program called QLOAD. –

Therefore if you use WebSphere MQ as the transport, you will need to use the IBM MQ JMS classes to write a JMS application. That said, if you stick with pure JMS API calls you would be able to plug in any transport vendor's classes.

This probably occurred because the queues_max limit was encountered; see mq_overview(7)*) you 'll need also to check in the same way the value of fs.mqueue.queues_max
