Is it good to use openSUSE as a daily OS? : r/openSUSE - Reddit
2023年6月12日 · OpenSUSE is one of the oldest distributions out there that even predates Red Hat. Back in the early days SUSE were considered the only project which had a solid KDE implementation, even to this day. As for why I believe OpenSUSE is great for daily driving: Tumbleweed always receives the latest packages from upstream development.
Why Use (and avoid) openSUSE? Leave your feedback! : …
2022年3月8日 · Binary Quality: Somehow openSUSE's binaries work better with my hardware and don't cause any dubious issues unlike on Arch/Fedora where those rarely occur. This might be different with different hardware though. Compatibility: Near-full .rpm coverage + OBS + Flatpak is plenty for the fact that opensuse is nowhere near as popular as Arch/Debian.

Fedora vs openSUSE. Pros and cons? : r/openSUSE - Reddit
2022年3月14日 · It really depends on what you're looking for. Fedora is a fantastic distribution, so there's really no reason to switch. I switched from Fedora -> Arch -> openSUSE Tumbleweed because: I didn't like the release model of Fedora - Arch and Tumblewed are rolling openQA - packages on openSUSE go through automated tests before being released

To flatpak or not to flatpak - Open Chat - openSUSE Forums
2024年1月15日 · I have been reading the pros and cons of flatpak packaged software packages against packaging by the distribution teams. There is quite a bit of variation of opinions and I wonder how these might apply to the OpenSuSE distribution I understand flatpaks are much larger to download and install, but with hardware and coms increasingly cheaper, faster, and …
