2024年6月28日 · My experience with using friends' PASs is that the Petzl adjust is harder to lengthen under load, and the camp swing is a bit short. I've not used the Edelrid Switch, but the ease of lengthening under load seems really nice and I am leaning towards that. However, the Edelrid is like twice the price of the Petzl and CAMP. Is there a reason for that?

2020年2月12日 · Petzl says their 6mm RAD is ok for this. Both ropes are ultra-static and about same breaking strength but Beal doesn’t seem to claim glacier travel as a use for their line. Hey Ray, it seems as though Beal has that in mind for the Backup line, though they don't discuss specifically roping up for travel.

Had a Petzl clinic and was sold on new Darts - sharper monos (and spare front points) and secondary points, better anti-snow plates and don’t laugh - ”covered” front point hardware! Changing front points on the Stinger is a pain in the ass when they get banged up!

2024年10月20日 · Seem great and some cool guys running the company but hard to justify the price for a disposable piece of gear when Petzl picks can be had for $36 if you get them off your friends pro deal. They truly need to last 2-3 times as long for it to be worth it imo. Or maybe the performance increase just can't be felt on M6/WI5

2020年6月23日 · Petzl apparently measured a maximum force of 6.2 kN in a factor 2 fall on the evolv adjust. Perhaps someone with more knowledge than me can explain the rationale for the 15 kN static load requirement.
