2021年5月29日 · Only then you might consider buying the 8GB version. Chances are you won't need 8GB anytime soon unless you're planning to run multiple VMs (which will still bottleneck unless you run things off a good SSD instead of the SD card).

2021年4月21日 · For media files I can suggest Plex. I have pi 4 with 4gb ram and currently is enough to run plex, wireguard, influxdb with grafana dashboard and pihole as ads blocker. I can suggest that using of Docker every service which you want to run is good idea because you can very easily to reset everything and start from the beginning.

Pi 3 & 4 have 64 bit hardware, but raspbian is only 32-bit so doesn't enable that to be utilised fully. If developers decide to program for 64-bit, then you can inspect to see performance increase in that the processors should be able to handle more data at once.

2021年8月1日 · So you can see that whole system sans buffer/cache is only using 170MB of memory. That means there's plenty of memory free on my 2GB Pi 4 if I wanted to move pihole and the VPNs there as well. It's only for security and availability reasons that I have then on separate machines. TLDR; you'll be fine with a 2GB Pi 4.

2021年4月15日 · Honestly, for RetroPie you could probably get away with 2GB. None of the emulators that the Pi 4 is strong enough to run will use anywhere near that much RAM. I'd only spring for the 8GB if you plan on running desktop apps like Chrome on your Pi instead of just having it be an emulation machine, and even then 8GB might be a bit overkill.

2021年4月26日 · Can a Raspberry Pi handle 4k content? Directly, absolutely. I've been running Plex on a 4 4gb for a few months and have had zero problems with 4K content, as long as transcoding is never needed. Will a Raspberry Pi be able to handle that much content through USB hard drives?
