Samsung? Ipad? GarminPilot? Foreflight? - Pilots of America
2020年3月4日 · May 2, 2020. #1. This may have bee covered many times before, but I am just in the market for getting started with some kind of flight computer. My desires are leaning toward Samsung/Garmin Pilot. Reading somewhere that Garmin Pilot was created for aviation, whereas Foreflight was created to sell IPads, I like the Garmin Pilot idea better.

2020年11月6日 · The big problem with Android tablets is vendor bloatware. Samsung is the only manufacturer still building premium spec'd tablets, and they insist on skinning the interface and installing their own apps for cloud storage, etc. I recently bought a Tab 8" and tried to make GP work on it. Basically unusable.

Garmin Pilot just didn't look appealing. I toyed with Foreflight for a bit, because Foreflight, but I prefer the interface and simplicity of iFly.

But I don't use tablets in the cockpit. 696 and 430W with all their overpriced database updates work better and more consistently than any tablet.
