2020年5月11日 · I haves 180 with 2 rock urchins. I have had the urchins for more than 10 years and have never manually fed them anything. They munch on coralline algae all day long. So people are right in recommending that you have a healthy amount of coralline before getting urchins. Here’s mine eating a “bubble” of coralline. Also don’t clean your glass.

2018年7月29日 · I generally don't feed urchins but when this guy finds a piece of clam, he makes short work of it. I have had him 5 or 10 years (I forget) I got him as big as a nickel. Here he is eating a clam. He doesn't know he is a vegan.

2016年12月18日 · Sea urchins are incredibly fascinating to me and amazing algae grazers! I've never had the courage to house a long spine urchin, but have kept pincushions, tuxedos and currently have a short spine urchin which I never see since it's nocturnal. When I had the others, I could sit and watch them for hours. So neat.
