The goal of this tutorial is to set up a transient calculation of an axial turbine stage. The stage contains 60 stator blades and 113 rotor blades. The following figure shows approximately half of the full geometry.

Using advanced RANS treatment with inputs from Nonlinear Harmonic (NLH) method (available as module for OMNIS™/Turbo), tangential non-uniformities are captured and the flow physics of the interaction between compressor, combustor and turbine are assessed. The selected test case is a redesign version of the KJ66 micro gas turbine (Figure 2).
