Jul 16, 2004 · steel structure should be dimensioned from the centerline. any walls from that will be detailed from a plan detail showing wall justification. dimension from face beyond that. i always draw materials to their true dimension, then dimension from the face of that 3-1/2" stud or 4" stud.
