These bees would have less chance to share that infection, except for vectoring parasitic mites on adults and in the brood that interferes with this mechanism.

Like this BK says, other factors - and there are many possibilities - must have been at play if you were attacked by bees "because of bananas".

2021年9月7日 · I believe it was Randy Oliver who said that we should treat with a goal of having 2 cycles of bees relatively mite free before they begin producing winter bees. The idea is that the nurse bees nurturing the developing winter bee larvae are as healthy and vigorous as possible. I think that idea is pretty much on the money.

2003年7月22日 · We use Bt (bacillus thuringus biological pest control) around the farm to suppress mosquitos. Since the bees drink out of the ponds is the Bt safe for them? I would guess that other bio controls like ladybugs and praying mantis are fine. Any other wisdom out there?

The pollen pattie needs to be right on top of the brood. just lay it down gently and slowly to give the bees a chance to move. I did seven colonies the other day suitless and gloveless in similiar conditions and never got stung.
