2018年5月13日 · Thinking I was congested, I did not seek treatment for 2 months. After many ENT and neurotologist visits, I was diagnosed with cochlear hydrops. My symptoms are low frequency hearing loss, fullness (sometimes aches), and tinnitus. I have had no vertigo (hence the diagnosis of cochlear hydrops vs Meniere's).

2017年3月1日 · If they suspect Hydrops they will give you a diuretic. You are totally right. In fact, I wish I could delete this thread altogether. I have absolutely no idea what I am talking about. I wouldn't want some other anxiety ridden person to come across this post and conclude that they had Hydrops because of this sound.

2016年3月4日 · Chochlear hydrops is quite a rare condition, and does take several trips to the audiologist to identify the hearing fluctuations. The plus side, I have lost 6kg in 4 months, and still dropping! If you are new to Cochlear hydrops, then consider seriously what your ENT is telling you, and look at what you are eating.

2019年2月2日 · I want to give my 2 cents about cochlear hydrops. I spoke to an ENT and he made a pretty good point about tinnitus, fullness, hyperacusis and all the other great symptoms we experience. He said that far too many people dismiss the possibility of hydrops because the "know" that their tinnitus was caused by acoustic trauma (for example).

I've been with hydrops via eCog but I've had abr, multiple oae test even highest frequencies and about 2 extensive hearing tests a month since oct 2017 no loss even highest frequencies test.

2018年7月15日 · I think Endolymphatic Hydrops (EH) and Meniere's are a bit of a "tailor's drawer", this is, categories where doctors put a lot of hearing problems that are not fully understood today. Actually, it seems that hyperacusis and tinnitus are ways to arrive at EH, but not so likely at Meniere's.

2018年8月23日 · I read the reason they think foods cause issues is that if you have cochlear hydrops your fluid in your eat is not maintained independent of your body, but when you have cochlear hydrops your ear fluid is now mixed with your body fluid and what you eat will get into your ear. Each person may be different but more vegan foods are probably best.

2013年9月26日 · I've just returned from seeing the ENT specialist and got the all clear on my MRI scan. He did however say, that my condition sounds like Cochlear Hydrops, which is a build up of fluid within the inner ear chamber. I am already taking a 5 day course of Prednisone steroids, plus he has now prescribed a 6 week course of Betahistine 16MG.

2016年10月1日 · Hydrops can also affect either end of your hearing, and secondary hydrops (the one caused by ear trauma, not occurring by itself) can present exclusively as high frequency loss from what I've read. I'm also curious as to how your ENT came to that conclusion, as all the symptoms you have described can come from noise damage exclusively.
