Then, inflorescences were labeled to harvest siliques of defined stages. For each stage, siliques were harvested from ∼12 plants, directly frozen in liquid nitrogen, and stored at −80 °C.

Siliques at 6 DPA were harvested from Col-0, nac100–1 and 35S-L1 plants. The siliques were opened and the seeds inside were removed to collect the valves.
