Jan 2, 2025 · Passed and signed into law in the early hours of Dec. 21, 2024 – the day a government shutdown would have begun if Congress had not acted – the American Relief Act of 2025 includes $31 billion in natural and economic disaster aid for farmers and ranchers, a second extension of the 2018 farm bill and $2.5 billion in additional aid to be distributed through USDA.
