Exceptions ; ESBL producers need carbapenems. Pt's with pseudomonas risk factors need cefepime/zosyn. Anaerobes. Typically covered with broad spectrum PCN, cephalosporin, carbapenems.

2022年6月14日 · Download the app and pay the 70$ a year for it. Totally worth it. Sanford guide (the app, not the book) Vanc/Zosyn 4 all. I like the Sanford app. The antibiotic spectrum section lets you plug in the bug and drug and tells you if it’s covered.

2021年7月20日 · Peds has Nelson's Antimicrobial Therapy. There is also the Johns Hopkins Antibiotic Guide that is good for IM in addition to Sanfords. I've used all of these at various points, and I like Sanfords because it has tables to show the relative susceptibilties of various bacteria, fungi, and viruses.

One of the charts covers specific pathogens and what they cover/DOC and the other chart is MOA/MOR, function, etc. Together they cover everything I need to know but it’s A LOT of info to take in at once. I’m planning on just taking a lot of time and dissecting apart everything.
