2017年7月26日 · Some Yellow Heet and some of the Ethanol (green) Denatured Alcohol. The test was done on the stove in the kitchen. First I used Heet and two cups of room temp water and the lid to keep the heat in. After the Trangia bloomed I put the water on and started the timer. I had a rolling boil in 6:33.

Disclaimer: This is just my own research. I've yet to try the Heet or take both into a backpacking situation. Heet's bottle is handier.

2012年1月19日 · In my testing, I found yellow HEET to be slightly better than denatured and 190 proof grain alcohol to be the best. Denatured alcohol is the cheapest of the three, so that is what I use. 190 proof grain alcohol is expensive and can be hard to find.
Good alternate fuels for alcohol burners/stoves?
2011年3月13日 · HEET used to be a checkout line fixture way back in the days of yore. Along with jumper cables, and starting your car (hopefully) a half hour before work to let it warm up. This was back in the days of carburetors ... and contact points ignition . . . before fuel injection and sealed fuel systems . . . and before 10% ethanol in the fuel itself.
Alcohol boiling in trangia stove? Too close to pot?
2021年1月29日 · When I removed the pot of water to check it out, I saw that the Heet in the trangia was boiling, lot of bubbling from bottom of trangia to top. My guess is that the heat from the bottom of the pan and the proximity of the trangia to the sides of solo stove and bottom of pan was boiling the Heet in the trangia.
