What's your favorite pencil to use for sketching/drawing?
2022年4月23日 · My personal favorite pencil for sketching is 3B- it's soft enough to give you some dark darks, yet it's hard enough stay somewhat sharp for a longer compared to softer pencils. For longer, more serious drawings I use several pencils- mostly hb, 2b, 4b and 6b. For brand- I just go for whatever is the cheapest in my local stationary store.

2022年11月22日 · Erasable colored lead is an excellent suggestion, and you can utilize any undertones left after erasing/blend the pencil lines with the markers. Otherwise my go to is a mechanical pencil (Pentel Graph Gear, love it), with HB lead, either Pentel Ain Stein, or neox Graphite. Either work great for me. 2021年1月18日 · I generally stick with the 6B pencil under sketching for my basic sketches. Though I don’t usually do detailed sketches. I hear 6B recommended a lot though. Your second issue just relates directly to brush setting. I would suggest duplicating a brush you like and playing around with the settings.

2023年4月28日 · The blue barrel lumograph pencil is just a regular graphite. You would want black barrel lumograph for less shine which I unfortunately don’t have to show you a swatch of. However I’ve swatched Faber Castell Matt 14B next to black Polychromos and a regular Faber Castell graphite (4B was the darkest I had). Maybe it will help a little.

Hey folks, I’ve tried a handful of brushes and found a couple pencil brushes I quite like (ErgoJosh’s pencileraser brush from his VIP brush set is my current favorite), but I’ve seen some work on here where it’s almost indistinguishable from a real pencil.

Sketching: Rotring 600 / Pentel Orenz Nero 0.2. This is what I use mechanical pencils for the most. I like a heavier, beefier pencil with a rough grip. The Rotring is just a solid all around pencil for rough sketches and fine detail. But if I'm really wanting to get into the finest of detail, the Orenz Nero 0.2 is perfect.

2021年7月11日 · A very popular pencil is the Rotring 600, but it’s not a pocket carry type cause of the tip. I personally think the Rotring 600 and the Staedtler 925 are considered the best For everyday use and to carry I really like the graphgear 1000 cause of the retractable tip and they are not too expensive in case you lose it.
