2009年5月25日 · Wow! I Have just the opposite luck. I set 100 chicken eggs and might get a 60% hatch.. I set 100 quail and 85-95 % hatch. BUT... The are very time consuming for the first couple weeks. Yes, they mature quickly, but what achore. I do love my birds, we raise quail, chickens, ducks, turkeys and guineas. I have to say the quail are the favorites. Lol

I broke the remaining eggs open and saw that three eggs had embryos developing and the rest had nothing developing. Also of the eggs that hatched they did not start hatching until 21 days after I started incubating.

2022年6月10日 · No bleach or soap, just a rinse in warm water (which doesn't seem like it'd add much benefit for quail eggs). That'd be fine, but for me, the biggest appeal of fresh eggs is the shelf stability that comes with leaving the bloom on, meaning no washing. Quail don't have salmonella, either, so it really does them a disservice to wash IMO.

According to some studies 1 quail egg contains about the same nutritional content as 2.2 chicken eggs, so if you are eating more than 4-5 it's no surprise you're getting sick.
