2024年9月19日 · I was super lucky the other week to be invited to the New Paris Quarry in Bedford co. PA. The owner of the quarry is super nice and knowledgeable. He handed out a geology and ID sheet specific to his quarry. according to that sheet, I spent the day in the Old Port formation. The rock was a very hard limestone.

2024年11月18日 · The Hastings pit is a Miocene_Pliocene quarry. A few Megs, some GWs, Equus teeth, and at least one 3toed Horse upper, and a whale vert with the associated epiphysis 4 feet away. 2023年12月31日 · While on a trip in NYC, I thought it would be fun to visit Old Granton Quarry as it was close to where I was staying. In the first day, I found some nice material so I returned for another ~2 hrs on the last day of the trip. Day one was in the afternoon, cloudy but without rain.
