My husband and I were both raised in a very strict conservative Mennonite home so as you can imagine we got so many opinions on our non traditional Mennonite wedding. I didn’t get the dress I really wanted, I was afraid to wear makeup because I knew someone would mention it to me later, I did an updo for my hair even though that’s not what I wanted. In the end we couldn’t please everyone and we paid for the wedding ourselves so I wish we had just done what we wanted. We were so broke at the time
