Also known as Macro Mushrooms, these large fungi have very scaly caps, which often become hard and cracked in dry weather, resembling the scales of a crocodile. These mushrooms have a distinct, earthy aroma and pink-staining flesh, which is unfortunately very appealing to creepie-crawlies! You have to be quite lucky (like Arthur always seems to be!) to find a specimen that is completely free of bugs.Th
