👁️ Debriding Corneal Ulcers 👁️When a corneal ulcer is found, oftentimes if it’s not healing in an appropriate amount of time, we will debride it. Debriding is the act of using a tool (in this example, a dry sterile QTip, but sometimes a diamond burr or scalpel edge) to scrape away dead, non healing corneal tissue.
